Departing from this historical background, the architect who designed the Novotel Palembang tried to embrace the glories of the past in the design of this building, by compiling 98 giant stone pedestals, each measuring 4.8mx4.8mx12m, into a monumental garden befitting the scale and splendor of the golden age of the Srivijaya kingdom.
In 2019 the plants of this hotel were redeveloped with the aim of increasing energy efficiency and consequently cutting down the management costs.
Solution and results
The previous air conditioning system was replaced by a 2 Clivet high efficiency water-cooled screw chillers SCREWLine WDH reaching an yearly energy saving and management costs of 30%.
